Welcome to Little Swans!
We are Little Swans Pre-school Dawlish. Located in First Avenue, Dawlish, close to Westcliff School. It is our intention to make our setting accessible to children and families from all sections of the local community. We are a non-profit registered charity and run by committee made up of parents of children attending the pre-school.
The mission of the pre-school is to provide a caring, supportive and stimulating environment where children can play and learn in a relaxed atmosphere where children's individual needs come first.
Early Years Foundation Stage
The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is how the Government and Early Years Professionals describe the time in your child's life between birth and age 5.
Nurseries, pre-schools, reception classes and childminders registered to deliver the EYFS must follow a legal document called the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework.
The EYFS Framework exists to support all professionals working in the EYFS to help your child, and was developed with a number of early years experts and parents.
In 2023 the framework was revised to make it clearer and easier to use, with more focus on the things that matter most

Session Times
We are open Monday to Friday
8.30am to 3.30pm
All children receive 15 hrs funded by the government, the term after their 3rd birthday.
Additional hours are charged at £4.50 per hour for 3/4 year olds and £5.50 per hour for 2 year olds. We also accept 2 year old funding and the 30 hours extended entitlement for 3/4 year olds.
